Do the Chime Pros need to be linked to specific devices (i.e. floodlight cams) in order to improve the WiFi signal to those devices, or does the WiFi signal automatically improve once the Chime Pros are plugged into the wall and set up?

Do you still need an existing doorbell/hook bypass power kit if you buy doorbell pro along with wireless chime/chime pro if I want only the wireless chime to work but not the existing mechanical doorbell?

Is it better install the Chime Pro closer to the router or the ring device? I know it needs to be in between, but I there are no outlets directly between the two locations, only at either end. Thanks!

Did I do something wrong or does this thing just suck? I have a ring floodlight cam that came with a chime pro and I connected the cam through it. The signal strength on the chime was 22 but on the cam it was around 62; apparently not good, but it was working well enough. I assumed even with the wifi extender between them, it was because of the distance and walls.

Then out of nowhere I wasn't able to open the cam at all and the signal was around 66, I guess too weak to connect. I saw the option to switch networks and connected the cam straight to my router instead. Now the cam's signal strength is around 56, still not great but stronger than the chime pro's. The wife extender part of the chime pro just seems to make the signal weaker...?

I'm going to be installing a Ring Doorbell Pro and was planning to bypass my home's existing mechanical chime (to solve the power issue) and use the chime pro instead. Now I'm worried I'll need to get another brand wifi extender, since the chime pro doesn't seem like it will help if I need it.
