Ube inthe Philippines is never a trend it's part of our cuisines but I am worried about using the color but not the tuber roots. Thats will kill the ube reputation because of mis representation . Not sll purple color are ube, but real ube is truly delicious . Be careful with fake ube some are made of taro root and add artificial color.

Most of ube in the US are just purple coloring and not real ube. They're just capitalizing on the hype and it's hard to mimic the real taste of ube and that might damage the industry of ube since time will come that people will get used to the fake ube and it will outsell the real crop since it's a bit pricey.

Ube would have been a royal ingredient if it became as popular back in the time. As purple is considered royalty. They might even gave it a new name for its status.

Filipinos like most Asian can’t always stomach things like cream and dairy 🥛. So it’s much more common to utilize things like red bean and yams 🍠 in deserts rather than the more commonly used milk

Ube is very rare. I wonder were they get all thats ube. There are artificial ube food coloring but it can't beat the original one. The real ube is yummy and delicious and kinda sticky.
