How will LHC Run 3 further to the search for Dark Matter? Physicist Katharine Leney describes how the ATLAS experiment at CERN is looking for elusive Dark Matter particles.

Although mysterious, one of the things we do know about Dark Matter is that it has mass. As the Higgs boson gives mass to other elementary particles, perhaps it interacts with Dark Matter particles as well? Physicists will be combing through the new, larger Run 3 dataset is search of Dark Matter particles interacting with the Higgs boson.

1:02 "the Higgs boson is what gives mass to fundamental particles", is this correct? If anything, the Higgs Mechanism explains the mass generation of gauge bosons, no?
