Aug sims are given favorable classes to buff, but the number will always be a bit higher than expected in the real world. Player skill, gearing, spec, cooldown usage, etc. will all lower the damage. Any tuning to Aug or other classes it buffs will also affect the bottom line.

TLDR: Aug is lower in reality but still probably tied or ahead of Dev in most cases. In sims it will do a lot of theoretical damage but the reality will have it in the upper middle of logs for most groups with competent players

I like Aug and the support role it brings. But I also only really play low keys so it probably doesn't matter which spec I choose.

If they want to fix dev evoker they need to let their essence burst gain 100% of their mastery or let consuming essence burst reduce dragon rage CD.

And for the love of Azeroth give all evokers some CC breakers.

Is going Ruby Embers instead of Engulfing Blaze not worth it for Flame Shaper?
Is it such a dps lose that it's not worth picking even considering that it gives another buff to Engulf?

Since scorching embers is simming better than Irid in both AOE and ST. Should we consider going Scorching with flame shaper? Scorching should be buffing most of the flameshaper abilities right?

I decided to Main Evoker for the war within always played paladins and shamans but decided to try something new this go round. I like that I can still heal and all around am having a good time with it.

The only way we can see dev played in raids over Aug is if you already have the aug evokers you need, Aug is trash (good luck with this lol) or its doing far more damage that Aug.

If they are equal people will want an Aug over dev any day for the utility it brings. There is not getting over this fact until blizzard nerfs aug into non-existence, changes it's role to non-support. Or adds more support based DPS specs into the game which can directly compete with it's role.

I enjoy Augmentation and it's playstyle. I don't enjoy feeling like I'm locked into it though for all content. Sometimes, I just want to do DPS.

I started playing Aug solely because the black flight is my favorite but it's also extremely hated because it's seen as a plauge and it makes me sad 😔 lol

I wish dev was best... aug was a fun concept but... it doesn't fill the "buffing" people role I was hoping and now it's just cucking my favorite spec. #FreeDevastation my boi did nothing wrong.
