David the Priest-King

In 1 Samuel 6 and 1 Chronicles 15-16, David dances in the street with the ark of the covenant. Michal, his wife, accuses him of debasing himself by doing this, so many readers conclude David was dancing naked in the street. This is a faulty reading - instead, David the issue was that David was dressed as a priest. This passage is one of many that point to David as a sort of priest-king like Melchizedek that foreshadowed Christ.
