Bought 2 boxed up darkrooms for cheap. Merging it all together to see what I need to fix or replace and start up my own processing

I like the fact that you enjoy yourself taking photos. On other videos there is a overly "formal" sense of the significance of photography and they forget that best photos are those that people enjoy taking. Your videos always extrude a sense of joy. Personally I'm more a 50mm shooter than 28m. To be honest more and more these days a 35mm is most often on my camera. Nevertheless between 28 and 50, I prefer the 50mm as it reflects more how I see. The 28mm is too wide for me. Loved your shots as they were good examples.

Another very enjoyable video Roger, and addressing a choice I'm stuck between on a regular basis, particularly for street type photography. I prefer primes but have taken to introducing short zooms into my work during 2022, and it does solve the problem, but never feels right, it's hard to get away from those nice primes !
Anyway thanks for all you do, and all the very best for the New Year, cheers - Stig.

I sense you'd have a lot of explaining to do if the mom saw a guy with a camera stuffed down a narrow hidden walkway behind some huts taking pictures of her kid. The things we do for compositions!

my closest beach is in south padre island at the southernmost tip of texas--6 hours away. no neat beach houses down there-just looming high rises. i can't comfortably drive that far so i'm really enjoying seeing your work.

Nice video! To the initial question, get the 35! Honestly I like all three, but 35 is often the choise, I mostly bring just one camera and one prime lens. You're right, it's important to enjoy what you're doing, it shows of in the work. Happy new year, Roger!

In most of the cases in this video, in my opinion the 50mm pictures won always every time. But thats my opinion. Great video.

I only use 21mm and 25mm on my rangefinders. Perfect for me. Ive shot primarily those focal lengths for 40 years.

Nice Shots Roger.. I like both the 28 and the 50mm. I notice you fill the frame to the left or right with anything you can find. Good bit of inspiration to go out and shoot…wait a minute..it’s raining again😂😂

for me 28 is the landscape lens just for depth of field

In an urban enviroment you could do the same composition challenge when you have harsh direct light. Then use the light / shadow to seperate fore / background elements. Interesting idea.

I like this. A bunch of good looking photos. The 50mm images look more pleasing to my eyes but it depends on the subject what focal length works best. 40mm is my favourite all around focal length.

The 50mm and 28mm are very popular focal lengths on full-frame cameras. I often use a 50mm f/1.4 and 28mm f/2 combo.

However, I preferred a 50mm f/1.4 and 24mm f/2 combo.

When shooting landscapes and nature, I prefer a 55mm f/3.5 macro and 28mm f/2.8 combo.

For vacation/travel, on my Contax G1 rangefinder, I used a 45mm f/2 with a 28mm f/2.8.

This video made me order a 28 mm for my OM-2. Otherwise I have only shot with 50 mm

Interesting project many time I had the same conversation with myself the 28 does give you a different perspective I like it as I do the 24 for bending the lines a little the 50 is like my eye what I see I shoot thing I end up taking both lol 😂
