Just wanted to mention I've had some pretty magic moments already with this fly since you posted. This one's definitely staying in the box, at the very least through these early black stone hatches in the Northeast. As always, thanks for sharing.

I laughed and laughed. Good delivery, right up there with Bob Newhart for dry delivery.

Great looking patern but I have a question basically about all jig style flys. If they are designed to ride hook piont up why do most ties have you putting wings or backs on the under side of the hook?

Great variation of the Prince, but I would tie it with the biots on the opposite side, so that they are on the top with the hook point, as the fly will ride hook point up. I'm sure the fish don't care though.

Since the fly will be upside down, why are the biots not tied on the under side of the hook? Well your last line answered that. Thanks for sharing. All the best, Sean

Wish I had listened to the end of the video before making the last comment. Just as dumb as the thumb! Great delivery. Sean

Won't the white biots be facing down due to the hook selection and bead orientation? Does this even matter?
