My father, early in his life escaped from Cuba in 1960. He risked his life with four other men and put out to sea in a boat. None of them were sailors, yet they had no alternative because in those days, a mere whisper to the wrong Communist official would have placed him against “El Paredon”, or the wall for execution. I am struck with the utter lack of understanding in our young people (and those not so young) as to how Marxism works. I have yet to see anyone leave in a rickety boat from the Florida keys to go to Cuba. I promise you that AOC would not be driving a Tesla today if she decided to go and live as a Cuban.
