Just started diagnosing the washer issue on our 2007 ford explorer; Original problem; wife said no washer fluid. The problem is some kind of slimy gooey in the tank mess that won't let the pump work. Will finish fixing tomorrow. Earlier in the day after it sat for a while it had good pressure then went to weak stream.

Thank you. My fluid was non-antifreeze and while visiting KY the temp dropped to -5. The leak was obvious - a hose connection I snapped back in place with no problem. Then it still wasn’t flowing. The second leak was another pull-apart connection. This leak was the line running under the hood insulation which was easy to remove using a rivet puller. The line had pulled apart when it runs into the spray nozzles.

Thanks for the video. Helped me with solving the low spray flow issue with my 2012 Mazda CX-5. Checked everything else before finally finding a messed up check valve. I drilled it out and all is well. I think the purpose of the check valve is to keep the line from draining back to the reservoir after use. Not critical but it is a nice feature. I ordered new check valve on Amazon and will replace. Thanks again for your efforts in making useful videos.

A coworker had a works van that kept dumping the washer fluid, when I mentioned why they didn't top it off, as I occasionally had to use it( she was day work, I was night).She got snotty and said she did every day! I had a quick look, a feed pipe had become loose, the place I worked at was a motor trade based operation, a zip / cable tie from the stores fixed it in seconds.

I worked on one had weak pressure I unhooked the hose where the hood hinge is and blew air into the washer pump tank it cleared some sledge that was blocking it and fixed the problem.

I have a Fit since new and had an issue with the washer fluid from day one. The dealer tried it and said it works as per normal. They do not listen to customers. I explained that the pressure is weak when driving over 60 kmh (40 mph) any time, and also is weak when it is cold outside. Washer fluid is rated for -40 C, so it is not an issue of freezing. I checked the pump and lines; all are good and clear. Any idea as the cause?
