You better know the regulations on Sanibel and Captiva (ANY ISLAND!) if you're landscaping.

We are joined by Katie Peer, our head-designer and the co-owner of Peer Landscaping & Fort Myers Garden Service. 🌴 She an Bailey discuss the challenges presented by municipal regulations on islands such as Sanibel, Captiva, and Fort Myers Beach.

The ordinances vary from town to town, and if your contractor forgets to dot an "i", or cross a "t".... you're in big trouble, my friend.

The Peer Podcast is brought to you by Peer Landscaping & Fort Myers Garden Service.

You put rats in your lawn by the way that you turn not because it's cut constantly the same way.

What?? Zoysia at 1.5?? 😮😮😮

Dude you going to have people out here destroying their lawn.
If you cut your zoysia grass at 1.5 you better hope it rains at least 4 times a week for a few hrs lol

And you better not be in the st. Louis area or the Midwest. 😂😂

Dude zoysia grass is sensitive and if you cut it that low you're going to be at the root..
You'll shock the whole lawn.

You supposed to cut zoysia grass at 2.5. Maybe 2 if it's spring or fall.

Honestly in my opinion from experience and trust me I have a lot,
Cutting at 3 is very short especially in the midwest where I live in St Louis area.

I mean honestly it just depends where you are and how much water is getting and sunlight...

But for the record Man we used to cut this yard that had all zoysia grass and this lady used to tip us every time if she was home.
It was one of those ladies who was older but not super old..
Good-looking woman when she was younger and she just loved us young guys coming over to cut. Lol.

My step-brother would get damn near fifty or a hundred every time in tips. Sometimes she would get it all the other guys 20 but probably only every other time...

The yard was the best-looking yard ever, we made this yard looks so good. 😂😂

That's how I know everything about zoysia. 😂😂😂

Get you some Kentucky bluegrass if you want some deep colorful stripes in your yard. 😊

That's my favorite grass to cut.
