But the facts say something else. 9-11 happened on September 11, 2001, & operation Enduring Freedom started on Oct 7 2001. It took only 26 days for the US to start operation Enduring Freedom.

Salman is absolutely right about the role of media. The media literally pushed for the operation, and definitely a partner in crime. Musharraf could have sustained forever but he succumbed to the media pressure and his absolute power temptation.

I am surprised to see that too many Indians watch these podcasts and now are offended because their government offered their waters and bases to US.The guest has accurately narrated the situation inside Pakistan.Mullahs openly supported Jihad, funding boxes for Jihad were placed at nearly every shop, extremist literature was available, fatwas were being declared and only the state television tried to bring people to senses. I remember that some students had seen horrific videos of beheadings and turned fearful while many others watched and praised the Taliban.Back then Gen Pervez Musharraf was hated not because he had overthrown a democratic government but because he had agreed for cooperation with the US.The guest is correct on most accounts
