What BETTER CALL SAUL Almost Was...

Did you know? Better Call Saul, the critically acclaimed legal drama starring Bob Odenkirk as Saul Goodman, was originally supposed to be a half-hour comedy show? That's Right, creator Vince Gilligan revealed in an interview that the show was initially planned to be a lighthearted sitcom with Saul solving wacky legal situations, but since both Gilligan and Peter Gould knew little about writing comedy, they decided to stick with what they knew best. Props to Odenkirk for pulling off such a complex role. I'm sure he would've been more comfortable doing it as a sitcom, but he stepped out of his comfort zone to do what's right for the story. There aren't many shows with writing, cinematography, story, and acting on the level of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. 2 of the most perfect television shows.

That’s what I thought Better Call Saul was for a long time when I saw promos for it which is kinda why I avoided watching it for so long but now I’m glad we got something completely unexpected and ended up getting another masterpiece by Vince Gillian and will go down as one of the greatest television series made
