Will My 300 Hours Early-Access City Survive Economy 2.0? | Cities Skylines 2

We're finally bringing Riverview into the Economy 2.0 future, and the changes to the city are pretty drastic! One of these changes is worsening our already terrible education system coverage as thousands are on waiting lists for elementary schools, high schools, colleges, and universities. So it's finally time we build a university! We also expand our bus network and add in some much-needed super high-density residential towers. Hope you enjoy!

The seemingly wonky express bus route that the game threw at you is likely the _fastest_ as opposed to the shortest, which meant it likely that was the "cheapest" in terms of overall cost factors. Comfort also comes into play with it likely having fewer intersections (house driveways count as intersections as do other roads crossing/joining). But yours seems the likeliest in terms of actual planning. Be nice to catch a ride-along in a later vid, from Riverview Hub to Riverview Tech...

Found your channel not that long ago. Have to say, the amount of detail you put into not just the builds themselves, but also into the reasoning behind it all, truly sets you apart. Really epic! All of the custom builds with the amount of integration through surfaces and the use of anarchy and whatnot, makes watching these series so entertaining.

Been waiting for a new Riverview video! Something i hadn't thought about until now is how now I can't think of a single context where you'd import services or resources. The new econ update was huge for adding some much needed difficulty but I maintain that it's reduced the number of ways you're allowed to play the game/build diverse cities

I'm starting to think a "realistic" metro line could be useful, there are some cities in the US that have 1 or two, but haven't really expanded from there (Minneapolis/St. Paul, Baltimore, etc). It doesn't have to be extensive, but providing connections across the river could be good and would integrate well with the transit hub I think!

I can't stop thinking about how useless that radio telescope is gonna be with all of that interference from the university/the city/etc. In real life, they are usually built suuuuper far away and the towns that have them ban cell phones/other transceivers to prevent interference XD

I would imagine its not a real one or not one that is used for serious radio astronomy; perhaps for the students of the university to learn and study

The empty lot on the other side of the technical university could be student housing. A single developer dense style that probably was advertised as "the future urbanism" when it was builded 20-30 years ago

word of caution on using mio roads-sometimes they cause really really bizarre lane connections when they connect to other roads-I ran into a situation where my busses were caught in an endless loop and could not reach their destination, with no warnings about connectivity at the stops. Caused lots of not enough employee flags until I figured it out by happenstance. So always always use the traffic mod to double check the lane connections and fix as needed. Also, if you were to use for example the 9 lane mio road to make an asymmetrical end to an 8 lane road, use traffic mod to check the space where the 8 and 9 lane converge to be sure it's not doing anything weird there either.

Perfect. Now I'm a technical professional, I live in a big house near the highway (I can't sleep very well 'cause the noise). But the main problem is that my children got to be educated by Youtubers because the Mayor doesn't provide us enough school covering. Im starting to think to move out to another city...

Can you build a large metropolitan district with lots of high rises with your demands.Make a New York on the main island. Also I think an inner city motorway would be good. Also I think you should add keys to the edge of the river
