So how do you explain that scene in The Girl when Hitchcock throws himself on her trying to kiss her when she on the other hand is on record telling Larry King, Hitchcock never touched her? And she did not get the part of Marnie because Hitchcock was so pleased with her, but simply because Grace Kelly whom he wanted so desperately to play Marnie could not do it. If you carefully compare what Hedren writes in Tippi: A Memoir and the many interviews she gave, it´s amazing how her versions change. She also accuses Hitchcock to have put her in danger in the attic scene of The Birds, but what about ROAR ? She did produce Roar and there have been injured more than 70 people in horrible ways, including herself.
