This game perfectly encapsulates why Henry never won the ballon dor. In these big moments when he's needed he is either extremely wasteful or goes missing. Same with Arsenal in the UCL

Superbe épopée des grecs je me souviens de cet euro magnifique le meilleur euro des 20 dernières années le Portugal la Grèce les pays bas la République tchèque les grand favori de cet euro en 2004 la france était pas au niveau les voir en quarts était déjà quelque chose de bien étant donné le niveau affiché en poule

A vrai dire, c'est plutôt mérité sur l'ensemble du match. La Grèce maitrisait sa tactique à la perfection, nous non.

Le 4-4-2 de Santini fait que Zidane (excentré à gauche) et Pirès (sur son mauvais côté) n'étaient pas à leur poste et n'ont pas su alimenter Henry et Trézéguet dans de bonnes conditions.
Un 4-2-3-1 avec Pirès-Zidane-Wiltord derrière Henry aurait été plus judicieux, voir un offensif 4-1-3-2 (duo Henry-Trézéguet) avec le seul Makelele à la récupération, comme il le faisait au Real.
