Even Collectables are getting DLC now that's a shame. This is pretty much gambling hoping to get a physical pop. Would have been cooler to do this with physical Funko Trading Cards.

Brilliant move by Funko to cut costs and inventory while creating new demand. They don’t need to have a warehouse load of common pops that can’t sell and only ship out Pops that get redeemed. People complaining that digital cards being worthless may be right, but you can also say the same about plastic figures if poppriceguide or resale value didn’t exist. If the market can hype up the value of digital cards and people think they can make money, collectors and flippers will gravitate towards it too.
