She was going to say: "...Beauty with a beast..." but caught herself at the last second and said: "...Beauty with a Klingon..." LOL

It's so good to see that the actors from back then actually cared to learn their characters' backgrounds and what was going on in other shows, thinking about how it impacted them etc. Personally, the Worf/Troi relationship hit me completely out of the blue. They lacked chemistry and build-up.

Off topic...I always thought Comander Chakotay and Captain Janeway were a better fit than Seven and Chakotay

I would like to point out the fact that in one episode where Worf was describing Klingon mating rituals to Wesley Crusher, Worf said that the female yells and growls a lot while the male reads love poetry.

Worf isn't your typical Klingon - he's more complex.
Also notice how Worf really wasn't enjoying the wedding - he seemed to find it pretty depressing.

Worf was trying to be human for Troi while Dax was trying to be Klingon for Worf. I wasn't thrilled with either pairing, but I see the rationale in both.

Always remember Worf's line to Guinan from Yesterday's Enterprise _"I would require a _*_Klingon woman_*_ for.... companionship, earth females are too fragile"_ then I saw Troi and Worf together, I thought to myself _"Man, she's in trouble!"_

Well, in my opinion the Word on TNG, characteristic were changed when he arrived on Deepspace 9. The Klingon conflict, and lack of a ship seeing the D was destroyed. It's mentioned in his first appearance as a line.

The Troi / Worf relationship made absolutely no sense. Considering Worf’s friendship with Riker dating his ex would seem dishonorable.

She belonged with Imzadi, not Worf! By the way, read the book Imzadi and you get a great backstory on the whole Troi/Riker origin.

The best match for worf was with K'Ehleyr the mother of his son.

That's an interesting take. I personally never liked Troi with Riker, but I did like her with Worf. The thing was, Worf was a klingnon but that wasn't all there was to him, and it was nice to see another side to him and see his character develop. Troi brought a warmth and adorableness to the relationship that was healthy for Worf, and he brought a compassion and sweetness that was great for her. It was an example of great writing and a well rounded relationship.

Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes had the best chemistry on TNG, and they should have milked that for all it was worth instead of looking a gift horse in the mouth and try to hook them up with other characters.

0:45 “..she was a trill. Whatever things that they had going on in their cultures that they brought to the relationship..”

It wasn’t a culture thing. Curzon Dax had experience with Klingons specifically. It was that and Jadzia’s personality that made her pursue Worf.

Agree 100%!

Worf + Jadzia just made sense. It felt natural and flowful for the characters. What amazing on-screen chemistry they had!

I've heard that if Dr. Pulaski had stayed on she and Worf might have become an item.

Ah yes, the famous relationship compatability of Trills and Klingons! :D

Worf lived amongst humans for almost his whole life, he's going to adopt some human thoughts, emotions, perspectives, tastes, attitudes, etc. just like if you or I went and lived in a foreign country for 30 years. It adds a layer of complexity to the character that I always liked.
