Thx for the solid advice!
And you can keep them growing in winter. I planted mine in October, 4 months later they're 30cm. Using a tent, 20-22C, 18hrs light, only like 80W per square meter.

To keep feeder roots you should water in winter (once every 1 or 2 months), if you dont give rhem water those roots will die off. When summer starts, those dessicated roots will start to decompose and that will increase the chance of root rot. This is not meant as a criticism, but to explain part of why you don't want it to dry out completely :)

gREAT INFO. Thanks. I am using cinnamon and also sulfur dust. Been doing lots of pruning.. Wife hates the mutilation:) I use a hairdryer or electric fan overnight to dry out the DR. I learned this from cacti cuttings over the years. They are completely dry overnight.

Glad I found you! I just picked up 4 adeniums from a nursery and had NO idea what to do with them! I’ve watched some of your videos and have 3 dormant and 1 semi awake. I’m in Texas where we don’t have a lot of cold so hopefully I can get them back outside soon. Thank you again for the info!
