I wholeheartedly agree with you. If the Chinese lost their job, they still can keep their home because they have no property taxes; if American lost their jobs, in 3 to 5 months he will lost his wife, home and will come very close to homelessness. Sad

The real issue isn’t the trade deficit or China—it’s that massive U.S. corporations are the ones raking in the profits. These gains don’t make their way back to the majority of Americans. If they did, the U.S. could’ve rebuilt its aging infrastructure many times over, and people would have access to world-class healthcare. The wealth is there—it’s just not being shared fairly.

13:45 China has 56 ethnic groups, it’s not all Han Chinese. Not to mention, China is not an authoritarian model - it’s state led socialism with free trade characteristics. Local governments all report to the central government. Complaints are handled at local level before being escalated to the central level. The Chinese people demand more from their government and in return are happy to cede more control to them. This is what a functioning social contract with the state looks like. Democracy is great in theory but western democrazy is just an oligarchy of corporate interests in practice. Almost 1/7 people in China are part of the party on a voluntary basis. That’s more civic participation in the government by the people than virtually all democrazies.

It's impressive that 50 years ago, China could not even feed its people. Today it's a huge economic success. Infrastructure is top notch. While our politicians are still pushing for coal mining and debating climate change, China is exporting cheap and durable ev's.

All you need to do is travel to china once on vacation and it will be enough to convince you they are living in the future. The country feels like it is living inside of a video game...everything runs on time, people are civil, little to no crime, and the kids are happy and run up to you to practice their english...the energy there is reminiscent of something like the US in the 1950s...you can tell there is a kind of upbeat aura everywhere you go, its absolutely incredible. I am going back next year to stay for a lot longer, the people talking trash have no clue

China has 26000 KM of High speed rail and 180000 KM of rail. buses and 80 percent of those are electric. Their infra structure is unmatched in the world. Take a visa free trip there and be amazed.

I live in Uganda and I can tell you that China does not need the US. They have created cheap solar panels and EV that are affordable in Africa. No American companies have dealerships in Uganda. 😂😂😂
