It is obvious

If, a^2x-(ab)^x=b^2x
Then, x = log((√5-1)/2)with base(a/b)

Multiplying by -1/-1, and then rationalizing the denominator of the numerator, simplifies this to
[ ln phi ] / ln (7/2).
