I never noticed when I played as a kid, but holy hell, Dutch's voice actor is amazing. He sounds so... unhinged. And he has no idea.

Sad to see just how deluded Dutch had become at this point, I’m glad we got the comparison from RDR2. Just makes it all the more tragic how he turned on his family

God.. the voice acting in that game was insane.. the inflection at the end of the like "we're gonna kill the both of ya'.." the voice crack.. the uncertainty he showed for just a split second, only to be followed by the confidence that comes from his mantra.. "we're fighting for something.." Leave it to Dutch to claim moral superiority while attempting to murder two men trapped in a building. The more I hear Dutch talk, the more I love how well his character is written.

Dutch never was the same since hitting his head during the tram scene in Saint Denis. RDR2 was phenomenal, but it actually just made me love RDR1 even more.

Man I really wish I could see the gang in their prime, or when they were just starting up. Dutch, Hosea, and Arthur, just having fun doing crimes and helping people. The fishing trip made me so happy.

Bruh it just hit diff u know because they used to be like father like son until the near end of rdr2 and now they're like enemies and it's just sad but at least we know the back story of the gang and who is Dutch and the others

When rdr1 came out, Dutch was just some crazy murderer who only came around for the final act of the game, then rdr2 came out and fleshed out Dutch's character so well that we can now get a view into rdr1 Dutch's mind

I love how John is calm and convincing himself Dutch isn't Dutch no more considering he seen Dutch as a father figure. You did nice work with the music to bring out the atmosphere and emotion behind this seen nice work.

After I finished rdr2 I played through rdr1 again and when I saw this cutscene and I heard him say “I don’t know… sport I guess.” It broke me

The entirety of rdr has a feeling of “it’s been over, everything has been over for years”, where it feels the world has moved on from Dutch and the Van Der Linde gang and he and his enemies are pretending it’s still 1899 again.
