The subcentral gyrus is a short, U-shaped gyrus connecting the precentral and postcentral gyri above the Sylvian fissure, while the pli de passage fronto-pariétal moyen of Broca (PPFM) is a connecting gyrus between the pre- and postcentral gyri at the level of the middle knee of the central sulcus (interrupted central sulcus) which is rare 3:22
