This serve of Alexis Lebrun seems to be illegal

This serve of Alexis Lebrun seems to be illegal because the ball was not tossed "near vertically" upwards.

With his pendulum service on his forehand side he appears to routinely launch the ball from the middle line of the table, contacting it with his bat near in-line with the edge of the table - Utterly illegal (and at the highest level no less!). The ball needs to be vertically launched from a flat palm without spin, a minimum of 16cm upwards. It should not be shielded/masked (it should be visible to the opponent throughout its flight until it is played by the serving players bat and should not touch anything except once by the serving player's bat. It should be served from behind the table and above the playing service of the table. That's about it I think! Alexis is a great player but should be picked up for this.
