Apart from everything you've already mentioned, the trackpad could be a lot bigger which would only improve functionality but looks too. Plus i wish it had a type c and type A port on both sides which support for charging.

What I like most about this is the keyboard tbh. After the legion series, it's the first 15+ inches Laptop model I've seen that really liked their keyboard, simple and elegant with a full numpad!

Definitely needs a dedicated GPU and another fan though at this size and weight. Overall I'd say while it's refreshing to see Huawei finally using the new CPUs and definitely, those cons that you mentioned unfortunately holds it back from being a great laptop imo.

Have you looked at Xiaomi's Redmibook Pro 15 (2022)? It's only released to the chinese market for now but if you can somhow get your hands on a Ryzen ver I think it'll be a great review! This Ryzen ver. has got both 6600H and 6800H options and the option to have a RTX 2050 gpu. Though tbh for this Ryzen vr I'm more excited for the one WITHOUT the dedicated gpu since Radeon 680M apparently gives almost the same performance as 2050 at much more power efficiency! Overall all the things you get at it's price (~800-1000$) is just crazy!

Is this laptop able to cool itself down when used with the lid closed?

Great review as usual. Is it worth for CS students? Also what about matebook 14s is it worth?

Hey Marc! Just found your channel and I gotta hand it to ya! You know your stuff! With that said, what do you think is better, Lenovo IdeaPad slim pro 7i or MSI e13 Intel evo? Looking at using it for work and some school stuff, nothing too demanding, but also don't want to be out too much for a laptop with more functions than I'll use

Will you please compare it with the m1 MacBook Pro 16.

The d15 is soo good without a graphic card and i believe this one works better. As long as huawei is affordable i will buy huawei technologies. Good job Huawei!

Nice PC. I like the fact that it comes with a numpad. Numpad layout is good. Other manufacturers should offer two iterations of their 15 in and larger, one with the numpad and one without. This way they can satisfy both camps of users. Camera and mics were good. Display was good and as you say will get the job done for most users. This computer seems to have a mixed bag of options. Good port selection but no SD card slot. Easy access to the inside but limited upgradeability. Good display but limited brightness. Things like that. The other big question is to determine warranty service and serviceability since this is a Chinese based company. I guess the ultimate price will determine much of that. Anyway another excellent "First Looks" review.

Hi Andrew, huge fan from Nigeria. Could you review the Redmibook 14 Pro 2022 Edition Ryzen 7?

Hi! Do you think it can be used for programming? TIA

You don't want the numpad in the middle. Dads got a ASUS with a number pad that has the touchpad in the center & you right hand touches the touchpad & can sometime move the cursor.
