The Best Fast Food For Diabetes. I Finally Found It!

I tried most popular fast food meals to see how they impact my blood sugar. If you live with diabetes and would like to know what meal to have and/or if it's even OK to eat fast food as a diabetic this might be an interesting video for you to watch. It will help you decide what meal to order and what else to do next time you are in for a quick bite.

This video was really challenging to make for me. As I was testing these fast food meals, I was asking myself if I'm doing the right thing. My body can't handle eating like this regularly. So I'm really looking forward to getting back to normal which in my case is having fast food only on “special occasions”.

Being type 2 diabetic with young onset alzheimer's, diagnosed 7 years ago, remembering to take my medications, two different diabetic oral medications and insulin (despite sticky note reminders), I ended up in hospital and admitted to hospital with sugars of 35, yup 35! Coming out of hospital one of my visiting nurses at home suggested I watch you. Since my discharge, my sugars have been 5.9 to 7.9, but mostly in the 6's. The first thing I do every morning is watch you. You have virtually saved my life. I've lost 18 pounds (mostly water I know), but what a gift you are. There is nothing like hearing from someone with lived experience.

I was diagnosed with prediabetes, went straight on Keto the next day ( because my sister is type 2 and she sent me your videos, lol). I've lost 78 pounds and my A1c is back to normal....Thanks

Thank you for being realistic and explaining this so thoroughly. I will recommend this video to friends who glaze over when I attempt explaining these things.

Your videos have helped me a great deal. I was ignoring fat and did not understand why my levels stayed high for so long. My doctor said the level should come down 2 hours after a meal (I am type 2), and when I got my CGM I could see that was not what was happening. Your graphs over several videos show patterns more like mine and I now see that I also have to manage fat. Diabetes is so complicated and involves so many aspects of your life. Thanks for sharing your information with us.

I always drink a pint of water with a tablespoon of white wine vinegar, about 10 mins before a high carb meal, which works really well for my pre diabetic state.
Will often have a packet of walnuts with me during the day, find a handful before a highcarb meal also helps reduce the spike.

Chipotle bowls are what I found too! I completely skip rice, get both types of beans, grilled veggies and all the sauces except the hot. My blood sugar barely rises.

very well done. You are helping many along your journey. Thank you for keeping your channel non-commercial, I'm sure most of your viewers appreciate it. Have you tried vinegar before meals ? I understand it helps reduce blood sugar spikes. As a part time scientist maybe you could do a test-video on the concept of prepping your body for carbs/sugar with ACV, perhaps it works in a similar way as taking insulin before meals ?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience! I had pizza this evening, always a challenge! Interesting finding on the wrap! I have swapped over to wraps this year, though always homemade and wholewheat wraps, because i can stuff them full of veggies and get more fibre in, compared to a sandwich. As you mention, its about the whole meal composition, rather than a single component.
I’m always learning! So thanks again as always for sharing.
