Well explained and very helpful with practical methods of measuring backspace and clearances all around critical points.

Very good video. I was misinformed on wheel width - thanks for pointing this out. I wish you would have showed measurements to steering, shock mounts etc. when you were measuring. I have a 63 Chevy Biscayne that I want to change the 14" to 15" wheels. Since I have to drive 80 miles round trip on gravel roads to go anywhere, I'm looking to do a 4" lift to keep it out of the rocks. I like the AmericanRacing wheels. I like VN215 CLASSIC TORQ THRUST because they are the closest to the Keystone grey 5 spoke wheels I had in high school.

It would be nice if the questions/concerns asked were answered.

Why didn't you instruct how to measure the wheel bolt/stud spacing? There are several different spacings possible which would affect your rim ordering specification

OK you measured from the inside contact point to the mounting surface for backspace. Problem I see with that is the section width of the tire wasn't taken into account. The tire is going to bulge out past the rim width. If you have say 4.5" between the frame and mounting surface and you get a wheel with a 4.5" backspace, once you put a tire on that rim, it's going to rub that frame.

I thought you needed to measure the offset from the bead not the outside of the rim.
