These films just butcher the HP lore. During the class inspection in 1995, Umbridge asks McGonagall how long she’s been teaching at Hogwarts and she says “39 years this December”. So she would have started teaching in 1956 roughly by those numbers. And she did work for the Ministry briefly before coming to Hogwarts.
And yet here she is teaching in 1916-17...
Also, there’s no way in hell she’d chase after a student like that! Minerva McGonagall isn’t to be messed with.

Okay, McGonagall wouldn't be born yet, yes. A lot of inconsistencies... BUT the music, the scenery where the qudditch team just flies by. It's just like the very first HP movie when I was a kid. Just the cozy feels man.
