What an absolute guy. So level-headed, well-spoken, professional. Glad we got to borrow him for a while.

What an interesting circular career! Starts off with prop flying, almost doesn't make it into USAF, gets into an adversary squadron manned mostly by experienced veterans, gets an elite USAF squadron posting, gets an elite RAF squadron posting, becomes the veteran training new guys, goes back to prop flying. Quite the journey and a great interview! Thanks Mike and Ammo.

I very rarely leave any comments on U-tube content but in this instance, and purely because Ammo came across as such a really decent chap, I felt that I wanted to leave a few comments.
His humble but obviously professional demeanour is a credit to him and he is, in my opinion, an outstanding example of a member of the USAF, an individual who is not the gung-ho, hot head, type that is often the media image of the stereo typical military pilot.
I’m pleased that Ammo enjoyed his time in the UK and was able to experience some of what our country offers regarding natural beauty and a decent amount of history.
His obvious enthusiasm and dedication expended in his success in becoming a military pilot and his continuing love of flying and aviation in general is inspirational.
Thank you sharing these memories.

As a Portuguese who was brought up in the US but lived most of my life in the UK, I can confirm, the UK is an absolutely amazing place. I really enjoyed this interview. My favourite fighter-jet is the Typhoon and to hear how capable it is from a 5th gen pilot, it really makes you proud of the UK. God bless the UK.

"Ammo" Your the Man!! What an Advert for USAF! Their training must also be Top Notch to produce such Modest, Self-Efacing, Quick Thinking, Diplomatic and Humorous Guy. Not to mention an Elite Fighter Pilot.

What an absolute gentleman. Well interviewed too - you allowed him to speak and didn't interrupt. It let the conversation flow seamlessly.

What a lovely bloke. I did an exchange tour back in the 1981 to Nellis AFB in Nevada after I qualified on the F4. Had an amazing time flying in gorgeous blue skies over Nevada. The USAF guys looked after us so well! We had a few 'naughty' times in Vegas! I was a young, single officer at the time. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...Don't tell the wife!

What a great guy Ammo is! The complete opposite to the stereotype brash American that we often think of. You can see he really cares about his students and I’m glad he came over here and lent his skill and experience to our boys and girls.
Thanks Ammo!
