DEI isn’t over till the corporations stop sending emails to their employees telling them how good it is and how to accomplish it.

Agree very firmly with you. As a woman I still hear about “girl math”. But I’m a math physics double major and masters in engineering, and sorry, it’s true. Men are better at it. And usually way way more interested in it than girls.
I don’t need the world to say sorry to me for stereotyping. I also don’t expect reparations for women historically not being able to vote or own any property or have a credit card. I go from where we are now, and I prove my case with my performance. I graduated 23rd in my class, I had all the respect from all my male counterparts. Sure would have hated it if they boosted me dud to gender, then I wouldn’t get the respect I deserve.
I love you two. I have so much respect for you as intellectuals. I know you’re not DEI, you are both deserving of high esteem! Thank you for discussing these tough issues.

5:17 I think we are seeing this change in the Penny/ Neely situation. BLM tried to "Floyd" the situation and whip up anger and it fell flat.

My company is large Fortune 500. DEI is well entrenched. It will die when all companies do away with it.

Never thought I would be excited about Trump being president, but I can say as a first time Trump voter I am looking forward to the future

Glenn, you have been a voice of sanity over this last year. I’m so hopeful for the great things we as a nation can achieve. The DEI project has caused so much harm and hate it’s hard to believe anyone would choose this racist rhetoric. Americans just want to live peacefully with their families, friends, and neighbors. Sanity and humanity is making a comeback, thank God

"Wokeness" isn't just a collection of talking points around race and such, but a problematic mode of analysis. There's a Catechism of Contradictions. As John points out in Woke Racism, if a white family moves out of a black neighborhood, it's white flight. If they move into a black neighborhood, it's gentrification. At heart it's Sophistry relying on manipulation and false dichotomies. The tactic is over 2000 years old.

Extremely dichotomous thinking, exaggeration of threats, false accusations, weaponized feeling of being in unsafe places. It seems there's a moral panic that is dissipating. But they eventually come back. This one has been going on a bit over 10 years.

One thing that's thriving: Use of the word "depredations."

DEI may be dead and buried, but BRIDGE is coming, be prepared to fight even harder this time.

Those two guy who verbally assaulted John would feel differently about DEI if they lost their office space or job to someone else because that person checked the "right boxes" for DEI's sake.

DEI policies and mandates are far from dead. I wish people would stop claiming this. At most the DEI grifters will rename and rebrand.

Guys, DEI is not even close to dead. It's just beginning to pull back, but it is still entrenched in almost every institution.

I think John is referring to Max Planck's principle here, often cited as "scientific progress advances one funeral at a time." The analogy might not work well here since DEI has so often been touted as the progressive position, and if it is indeed losing influence, that could represent more of a return to mean.

Thanks to both of you. We depend on your conversations.

Quite funny hearing John lament those who haven't changed their mind on DEI, whilst simultaneously utterly refusing to see his own inability to move past his TDS.

The problem with DEI is where it's obligated by law : Corporations and institutions under that regime have had to indoctrinate their HR departments and staff accordingly. In California the mess is profound and it won't be easily undone, unless class actions are launched (and funded) to repeal the laws and sue corporations and institutions for their repression of free speech and their unfair treatment of non-compliant employees based on this ideology. Hopefully the sanctions and the precedent will curtail any future potential to return to this dystopian mindset.
