Great job, just needs an update.
My husband, Ronnie Wilson, was the founder of the Gap Band. Ronnie created the band while still a senior in high school in Tulsa Oklahoma, in the late “60’s”. He was a genius, he was gifted, and he was a fair man. Greed, can, and will destroy a family, or a business. Charlie’s manager, is full of Greed.
Ronnie passed away, on Nov. 2, 2021, and Charlie never even came to visit his brother, during his illness. That should tell you a lot. Being blessed, as Charlie is always harping, and is very true, but he has to learn how to bless others. Rest well dear husband. I loved you, unconditionally…🙏🏽❤️

Robert Wilson by far is one of the most underrated Bass players of all time. I've been saying this for years. I'm a old school funk drummer and if you study Robert Wilson's body if work you'll be so amazed. If you pick apart their song "Shake" Robert Wilson takes us on a musical journey unheard of. Just funk on another level in my humble opinion. What an incredible talent. Truly missed.

I love my heavy-metal and hard rock, but as goes with so many other things, I grew up through the 70s and 80s, allowing me to experience and appreciate many genres of music. YOU DROPPED A BOMB ON ME is one of my favorite songs of all time. You can’t help but feel that song. That’s what music is to me, if it makes me feel, then it doesn’t matter what it is, I like it.

My favorite GapBand memory is when I was younger my family and I would take a trip and my Dad would be playing The Gap Band on cassette in the car stereo, blasting their down the highway, especially when Burn Rubber played! The intro to " Burn Rubber " was the best thing when you're driving but be careful about your speed! Thanks again Gap Band and the Wilson Brothers!🤘🏾🎼🍷

Enjoyed the Gap Band documentary. Charlie had a band in high school inTulsa Ok in 69/70. They were the real deal even then. They played for my singing group The Citations.

I assisted engineered on a couple of their early 80s albums. I have wild studio anecdotes - you can imagine. I loved the whole Total Experience Records roster. So many cool people. Much love to all of them and the legendary Gap Band! I can still picture them recording "Party Train" and knowing that was a hit recording.

I have always loved the Gap Band, with their red western outfits. That voice of Charlie Wilson is the best 👌. I love all of his songs.

Robert Wilson was fierce on that bass. He put the FUN in FUNK. Thanks for releasing the baddest funk song Burn Rubber On Me in my birth year... 1980

Thank you for putting this together, they don’t get the respect they deserve here in Tulsa. People here hardly know they from here.

Yes. They were a great band! Also, it was shocking when Robert Wilson died at such an early age along with another famous bassist that same year, Marvin Isley of The Isley Brothers, two months prior. Both were so young, but their music still lives on.

Let's not forget their remake of "Going In Circles" and my personal favorite "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka" from the soundtrack of the movie with the same title starring Keenan Ivory Wayans. Great video, keep them coming!
