I am late as usual but I had to. I loved Avi in ptx and it sort of worried me when there was really nothing and then the new songs and somebody was writing and singing about my problems but there was always a glimmer of light at the end. One of my favorite things about his work is that it doesn't sound like anybody elses . One day he might hit you over the head with It Knows Me or Change on the Rise and the next day he might give you Otherside or Song for the Thankful.
In mixed playlists he is always a bright spot.

I think this song is brilliant. Yes, he was writing about his depression and anxiety but the way he's written it, it could apply to any of the dark things we humans use to try survive this crazy world... substance abuse or alcohol addiction or a toxic relationship or anything, I watched his live stream before he dropped this video, too. I heard him give you a shout. He said you are one of his favorite reactors, Very cool. Maybe you can get him on your show someday for an interview. I'd love to see that. I'm proud of you.

This song is just so healing. Please let Avi know how much we all identify with his music, the lyrics are just so simple yet on point. The melody is melancholy and evokes the soul-tiredness of fighting that voice in my head that lies, lies, lies and condemns my every mistake. But to get back to Avi, well I find it difficult to put into words, but all his songs just hit me so hard, in my heart, my soul; I know where he's coming from. "The Last thing I need is, the first place I go" means that when troubles come your way, the first thoughts that comes to your head is to do the unthinkable, the last thing I need is the first place I go when I'm in a dark place. These lyrics are not from your ordinary poet trying to make his debut, these Lyrics came from real life experiences, it came from the Heart and that is why this song evokes much more emotion than other songs, it's because it's so relatable.
