Good post as always. If you aspire to boondocking, you can't go wrong with what Jason has unless you're a huge person. I've had all three of these sleds. The Khaos takes some getting used to. As Jason says, uphill you steer with light weight transfer on your feet vs steering. There's a learning curve to avoid overcorrecting to commit through the trees since normally you pause you get stuck. And you have to work on a steep sidehill, counter steering hard and pushing the nose down cause it wants to turn up. The Pro tracks straight with no effort. Thing is, on harder or crusty surfaces, the Khaos gets on edge and stays there with little effort. The Pro takes a lot more effort to hold your edge. You can get into trouble fast as it's pretty common to transition through wind blown snow, buried crust, or crusty trenches. I'm fit but 65. Too bad Polaris doesn't have the adjustable limiter strap like SkiDoo. Regarding track length, the 155 is nimble. I won't consider going back to the long track. I'm 6-2 200 lbs. There just aren't enough big pow days where I need the length.

You would hate my 2011 M8. I love that sled. It was the top of the mountain sled food chain its day (just before the Pro Ride came out), but it's a totally different animal. I ride it on the Sierra Cement days because it's so stable. My '23 Khaos 850 165 is for deep days. BTW I sold my Catalyst. Not a good sled for set-up snow and between the cat of Cat itself, no local dealers, and motor issues, I wanted it gone. Its new owner is much closer to a dealer and a die-hard Cat guy so he'll be set.
