Best video ever with the perfect title. Had this issue today, searched on Google and got to this video. Just fixed the refrigerator myself. Thank you so much for making and uploading this video!

You are the Man. I was ready to scrap my 15 years old KitchenAid side by side fridge which I have in the garage, but I was thinking give it last shot and I changed relay which you're showing on the video. It did not clicked- it was dead with brawn burned spat on the bottom. Replaced and the fridge is working again ! Thank you

Had 12 amps for 5 to 10 seconds then out. I thought was a locked compressor, even though the lock out rating on it was 14.1. After testing with a new relay it now running at 1.2 which is optimal health! The Samurai Repairman Rocks!!!

THANK YOU $31 fix rather than the $300 the repair guy said diagnosing it over the phone. I canceled the house call scheduled for tomorrow.

Just wanted to come back and give this a thumbs up and leave comment. Saved me having to buy a new freezer. Instead, $4 part! So, thank you!

Another good vid.  Thanks for taking the time to share.  I refer you to my customers while they wait for me to show up.  I like it when they hover over my shoulder to admire all my tools and techniques :)

Thanks! Your advice rocks! With it I fixed my frig saving me $$$$. All I need to do was to download the manual to learn how to remove the cover from the side of the compressor. My frig is back in business! That relay rattled just as you indicated.

Thank you for this video! I fixed my mini fridge by replacing the starter relay. $10 later and boom! Cold air's back! Much appreciated

Fingers crossed but compressor just started after I changed the relay for a UCPO. Cold air is getting out of the fridge, looking good!!!  A MILLION THANKS!

Exact same issue with my Whirlpool fridge, unplugging the unit for 5 minutes would get the compressor started and running/cooling, then the very next cycle back to humming and click. Swapped out the starter relay, but that was only a temporary fix. Replaced the relay with a Supco 3 in 1 hard start kit and no issues so far, compressor runs normally all day long.

Can I take the amperage from the compressor with normal multimeter? Not one with the hoop?
