I brought my Nikon 1 v1 to a tour to Japan (and left my FX home).
I am editing pics now and I am so happy with the results! best lens is the 10mm 2.8; but also the 18.5mm (55mm equiv) and the tele 30-110 did a nice job! Took over 3k pics. Only drawback the rubber on the body started a bit pealing off ;-) Together with a hand-grip (non original) made it just perfectly fit in my hand. I think I will keep watching new releases; so far v3 is a way too expensive replacement (rather get a fuji xt-1(0) instead. But got 3 lenses and if I ever get the FT adapter all my Nikon lenses would fit. If you buy it used now it is a bargain. if it will ever stop working and no new model is released I might just get a J5 and wait for what comes next

Would you recommend that specific camera for a week long vacation to Tokyo, JP? I'm packing light and plan to move light while sight seeing and moving around the city.

Hey, what are your thoughts on mirrorless in general and can it replace a DSLR.... Also, what do you think of the Fuji system?

I have other cameras but the V1 is one of the ones I use the most. The small body, great images despite 1" sensor. I carry the 10-30 and 30-110 lens all in a tiny package to capture most any shot

I have this problem with this camera, which is that my lcd screen is not working. I clean the sensor and it works for a bit, then goes back. the viewfinder works well however. was wondering if you ran into this problem.

OK, you have at least 2 videos mention the Nikon 1 NIKKOR 10mm f/2.8 Lens but I can't find any videos where you actually used THIS LENS, can you lease give a link or two to your video where you have used this lens, please please please??? LOL : THANKS!!!!

I have the V2 this line is Nikon's line of mirror less interchangeable lens cameras, wish they would make a camera like the D500 with a one inch sensor to replace the V3 and push the lens lineup out to 1200 to 1600mm instead of 810mm which they currently have in the 100-300 lens, , , with the adaptor and regular Nikon lenses you get 2.7 magnification much longer than the 2x extender or teleconverter....

I have a old Nikon 1 s1, and I love it. I don't ever carry my reflex bodies with me. And the IQ is better tha my cell phone! :)
