I love his inability to find the words to describe the carnage he’s witnessing.

When something is so stupid you can't even figure out how to describe it.

I truly appreciate the emphasis you placed on the deep sadness and disappointment obtained within the discovery of that abomination.

American dry in CT is the best. I went through 13 contractors for quotes and methods. After all had different approaches I spent months researching. American dry was the only company who was on point. It's been 4 years now, and no issues. No maintenance either

The only way to fix a wet basement is to prevent the water getting in, so fixing it from the outside is always better.

Grading contractor here-

Ninety percent of time problems like that can be fixed outside

Bought a house a couple years ago, and the basement was finished. Experienced some water leakage along the walls in a couple of spots. Removed the wall covering the concrete and found cracks in the wall that were shoddily repaired. Got my Dad's mini-ex, and dug the exterior up to the footing and repaired from the outside, then installed a real, working perimeter drain.

Thanks for explaining what we were looking at. what was under the concrete? What was that thing you pulled up? why was it a bad job?

It would have been nice to have the problem explained.

Guy is a stronger man than I. There's no way I would have been able to watch my language. From now on I will try to channel this guy anytime I'm trying to find words that are appropriate for other ears.

When i was looking at houses, I walked into a basement that had a nice crack in the foundation that had been repaired. Upon seeing it, I told our realtor "next house." She tried to say something, but I repeated it again. This particular house was no older than 6 years old.

Meanwhile the grade and gutters outside are not working properly.

What would be nice is an explanation of the problem and a purposed solution

Good job at clearly explaining what they did, what was wrong with it, what they should have done, and what you're going to do to remedy it. Thanks for that.
