People, DO NOT BOIL your rice noodles. Just soak it in room temperature water just to soften it. It will cook in the pan. I REPEAT, DO NOT BOIL YOUR RICE NOODLES. Thank me later.

It’s not authentic. The sauce should be tamarind sauce not oyster sauce

You never cook the dried noodles. All it needs is a soak in lukewarm or cool water for 15 minutes. The sauce will cook down the noodles further.

If you can’t pronounce the dish correctly, then it’s probably a good bet you won’t make it right, either! The proper pronunciation is pud thai; meaning fried (Pud) Thai noodles. Who ever translated this to English used the wrong letters. But, please remember that the vowel “a” can sound different depending on how it is used. I lived in Thailand, I speak Thai, I read Thai, trust me! เชื่อผมนะครับ!

And you should prepare the padthai sauce before cooking, it made cooking much easier.

And you don’t need to marinate shrimp before cooking. But yeah you can if you want to do it.
