You may have missed it but the game states to the player during the tutorial area that if a card costs say, basic/blue mana, it will ALWAYS use the colored mana before using basic mana. So the section where you were using mana you could have spent on better cards is a user error and not an auto tapper malfunction. Mana is always used the same way every time. And generating mana with that knowledge in mind is essential.


This is something I suppose could be easily missed and could make the mana usage mechanic in the game rather frustrating if left unaware of.

I love your honesty here, but i do disagree! I absolutely adore this game and your buggest gripe (though valid) actively encouraged me to find new and novel uses for the rolls. I've won in some crazy ways and lost as well, I guess the way I see it if there's an ideal strategy, that doesn't mean you must employ it. This game feels a lot more focused on exploring the many options provided to you!

Example: dice cheat max with a d20 and the discernment card, preferably multiple of them? 20, 40, 60 whatever damage every turn. It's fun and interesting to play with different options provided!

Personally I like the music. I think the game is really fun and gives me a crazy power fantasy when I delete the black fish with my organ gun with 14 loaded ammo. I do understand your point on it being too easy but I think it’s fun to boot up a run, not think too hard on the small stuff and have a fun hour and a half run

Actually, ​​ the best use of "the one dice" charges is for card rerolls, relic rerolls, and relic corruption

I gotta say the only things i dislike about this game is that part of the dice manipulation is stuck behind the meta progression (i dislike meta progression when it feels like you can't win until you progress the tree which is somewhat here but not as bad as some other games) but the core mechanic of this game is the one dice and changing numbers, i feel as if that should not be behind any meta progression like the cards, trickets, and orb changes. (P.s. i gotta say ducks are fine the ones i hate the most are the final boss and that one guy that changes orb color every 2 card uses)

Changing enemy health is what i spend most of my uses on, the others are making some relics absurdly op (getting 4 extra mana every turn for 5 turns tends to be good). So far i end runs with 30 charges remaining as the deck already functions well enough to win.
As you say as is it feels a bit easy but its still fun to explore, i hope ascension makes it harder otherwise i will sadly have to disagree with the reviews saying its a different Slay The Spire

I was going to disagree with you about how easy this game is because i was having the hardest time getting past the first chapter until I just got the green heart deck today. Then once I got the hang of how the minions work, I’ve been steamrolling the first two chapters and are now moving on to the third

But with the blue and red decks, absolutely no way for me, I was trying for daysss to beat that damn pharmacist

Upgrading the dice is very useful when climbing the ascention. Modifying hand size, keyword numbers in the compendium, buff stacks and so much more. Using the dice to lower enemy HP won't even cut it late game. You've pretty much completed the tutorial so far.
