Its a masterpiece, the visuals, the music, its design. SMG2 is just perfect, id love SMG3 for the WiiU, well i hope we gonna have that game with the NX.

The green star challenge was to bring back the old classic gameplay mechanic, TREASURE HUNTING, it adds to the replay value because you get to visit the galaxies but instead of going through them you need to explore them more to look for them, in my opinion, thats a great way to add to the replay value, and besides sometimes Replay value is just when you WANT to replay a level because it was amazing and fun.

Its your opinion but still, it had a great replay value.

The wii isn't ment to have 1080p there not in high def...

1080p and HD don't mean a damn unless they have a good game behind it, which this game does.

@Insaneindabrain35 you're partly right, but super mario galaxy 1, new super mario bros wii and super mario galaxy 2 are SO incredibly fun, so it's totally worth it.

I don't think the fact that the game is too easy is a minor detail. The difficulty of the game is the most important factor for me.

@VideoGamer110 I don't agree. I love Mario and Zelda, and I also love games like GTA, God of War, Metal Gear Solid, Bioshock. I really enjoyed the Mass Effect 2 demo and would definetly concider buying it when it come to PS3. I think a story can help enhance a gaming experience, though if the gameplay isn't solid the story won't be able to save it. But Galaxy 2 is without a doubt my game of the year, and might even be my game of the generation so far. .

@masteranimation2008 seriously, I know what you mean. I dont even own a wii (I own a 360) but I played this game in gamespot before I realized I had been playing for 2 hours. I just wish that third parties could put even a fraction of the effort Nintendo does when making wii games.

I agree that this is brilliant, but the Mario franchise is treated with exactly the same - if not more - prestige as the GTA series. Suggesting GTA4 got a 10/10 simply on the basis of it being a GTA game can be said with Mario Galaxy 2 as well. They are both perfect at what they do, and push their respective genres forward with each new release.
