Make sure you purge your torch lighter of any air in the tank by pushing on the valve where you put the butane in

In my opinion the best way to fill ur torch is to make sure to purge the torch of any left over butane by pushing on the valve (usually found on the bottom of torch) where you fill the butane in until it’s empty. The best way to do that is to keep the torch right side up and push the valve until you can’t hear any air escaping. The second thing you do is grab your can of butane in one hand, and then the torch in ur your other hand flip it UPSIDE DOWN(the reason you want it upside down is so you fill it with the liquid because if you do it right side up, then you’re going to get mostly air in your torch) and then line up the tip of your butane can with the valve on your torch press down for about two seconds and personally, that should be plenty but if you want, you can then press it a few times more or just hold it there longer than two seconds. Now you really want to make sure not to overfill it because that will eventually ruin your torch and not work properly anymore. So that’s why I usually don’t feel my torches up 100% the best way to make sure your torches last a long time is to not fill them up 100% and if possible only fill up your torch, the amount you think you’re going to use for ur session and whatever you didn’t use make sure to empty ur torch after every use but even I would be lying. If I said, I did this every time.😂 what I usually do is fill it up about halfway or even less and make sure to empty it every single time I want to refill it

Release pressure from lighter first before refilling……. I use the spike from a pipe tool, works great.

As others have stated you need to purge before you fill it up also use highly refined butane otherwise you're probably going to run into problems with ignition. You also do not need an expensive torch my favorite is the vertigo cyclone 2 and it's about 10 bucks to 15 bucks depending where you buy it. Great torch have used it for years.

1. Bleed the air out the valve first
2. The dimples in the top of the cap of the butane pop out to give you a nice little valve to seal when you fill
3 flip upside down and give it 3 or 4 pumps

Wait a minute after filling. The lighter will be cool after filling. Letting it warm up gives more pressure and a better flame
