I'm genuinely surprised by how consistent the Futurama team managed to make the interior of the ship. I shouldn't be, considering their general skill with continuity in general, but I am! Well done!

To be fair, the ship also has dimension drift technology, so it wouldn't surprise me that professor Farnsworth installed non-euclidian rooms and implements on the ship that seemingly couldn't exist. The engine does run on dark matter after all.

The ship's FTL propulsion was explained in one episode. It operates on the exact same principle as any human teenage the ship doesn't actually move, it's the whole universe that moves around it.

I think the galley is further back actually. Since in the episode where they go back to 1947 it's caused by a blue glow coming from Fry putting metal in the micro wave and this glow came from the back of the ship

That's the fun thing about the Planet Express Ship, and what I like about the show in general. If you tried to account for every single gag room, Bessie would end up looking like either the TARDIS from Doctor Who, or the Nowhere levels in Silent Hill.

I really love how, despite sounding just plain wrong, the dark matter "weighing 10, 000 pounds per pound" can make sense. Like, i understood it as it's inertial mass being one pound, but it's gravitational mass being 10, 000 pounds. So like, Gravity is just 10, 000 times stronger for dark matter compared to normal matter, and that's it. You could certainly make one heck of an engine out of that.

Is it me, or did Thunderbird 2 inspire its design especially at the front(?) 🤔

I’ve known this show since age 9 and had no clue the ship’s name was Bessie!

I was thinking about it, the front of the ship acts like a splash guard!! I NEVER realise that before, they did think of everything. I mean after all, the writing staff held three Ph.D.s, seven master's degrees, and cumulatively had more than 50 years at Harvard. They made sure every scientific aspect in the show was correct!!

I wonder if other ships in futurama have steam fired like rocket engine with crew acting like old coal shoveler's to feed it.

This vehicle is legendary, majestic, and awe inspiring. :3

It is importent to notice that the ships enigne dont move the ship through the universe, but instead move the universe around the ship. A mostly fantastic technologie the professor invented in a dream.... and even forgot in another dream.. what a bummer!

What about the lengths of wire that was used. Am I the only one who wants to know the lengths of wire that was used?

I think we have found the ultimate replacement for the Razor-Crest crest!!! 🤠👍

I am surprised by how many empty rooms they have. You'd think we'd know more. But at least it seems far more consistent than the Simpson's house which seems to change around to fit the script but generally has a set design its just when the script needs Bart's room to see the front of the house it does & when it needs to see the back it also does.

Hang on, I thought the chart room (which I believe they only used once to plan a heist on Amy's father's casino?) was in the Planet Express building, not the ship?

The Engine Room and Torpedo room would have to be on rear and front of B-deck and nowhere else. The cargo bay is also tall enough that it would extend into B-deck.
We that there are two torpedo tube openings, they are far apart and the space between them is occupied by the front ramp when it is closed, so clearly the torpedo room cannot be directly behind them (unless there are two torpedo rooms) nor even directly inbetween. The torpedo room also seems to be where the hull is narrow, likely the front nose of the ship.
The Engine room would have to be in line with the engine, and we can see the engine is lined up with the middle of the ship, which means B deck, in the rear. In another clip we can see it very tall, with portholes near the ceiling, meaning it extends into the rear of A-deck.
If we imagine the Galley, Mess Hall, and recreation room as smaller, and move medical, there is plenty of room for the upper part of the cargo bay. "Coffee maker and microwave" doesn't imply a big galley. The clips for the Mess Hall and Recreation room are clearly outside the ship. Fansworth doesn't really respect his crew, so why so much space for their comfort?
While I cannot explain the window, the tornado basement scene gives you a quick flash of the captain's chair, which is directly above the entrance, meaning the basement is directly under the bridge on B-deck, between the torpedo room and galley. Maybe the reason it is empty yet unused is because it was originally meant to hold torpedoes.
There's still a lot of empty spaces, and those extra rooms mentioned are not huge. The chart room is likely opposite Leela's room, placed similar to a traditional chart room. The computer room could is likely nearby too.
The hallway outside the Safe Room has port holes and a curved hull on one side, meaning it is on A-deck, likely near the rear.

1:20 false. The ship DOES NOT MOVE, it moves the universe around it which is why it can travel FASTER than the speed of light. "That's impossible" you say, but nothing's impossible, except explaining it
