An Inside Look at the Delta Flight That Narrowly Missed Hurricane Irma

The last flight to take off from San Juan, Puerto Rico as Hurricane Irma approached was three and a half hours of pure tension, as the jet rushed to beat the storm. Radar images show Delta flight 302 flying a narrow corridor Wednesday, as Hurricane Irma loomed like a monster. "I covered my head and my ears," passenger Sheila Sellers told Inside Edition. Video was taken from onboard right after the plane took off. "On a scale of 1 to 10 on that flight, I would say I was 11," Sellers added. #InsideEdition

I have noticed that Delta does everything it can to minimize cancellations. During a snowstorm in Philadelphia earlier this year, they were the only airline operating close to normal schedule. They still had a few cancellations and delays, but everyone else was practically shut down. It makes it easier planning winter travel as I know Delta will still get me there!

They should’ve interviewed one of the pilots instead of that nerdy airplane blogger, like what was his role in the situation? Watching his computer screen? Very impressive

My family and I were coming home from Texas a few years ago and the pilot gets on the intercom and tells us that there's a storm coming in and he was going to go quick to outrun it otherwise we weren't going anywhere that night. It was one of the smoothest flights I've ever been on.
