I recently tweeted out an opinion which of course is never a good idea, however it was about gaming and how I prfer console gaming over PC. That was also not a good idea.

PC players when a $2, 000 hand-built computer is more powerful than a $500 console

Consoles are a lot of fun, especially Nintendo's. Despite some of their questionable practices, they're always trying to innovate in some way, which I love. They also tend to have amazing exclusives that are timeless

I'm a pc boy through and through now. But Playstation definitely has a place in my heart because of how many hours I spent just having fun on it. I love lbp2 and I couldn't have those memories if I didn't have a ps3. Pc gamers have gotten more insufferable lately tho. Lmao people need to just chill and let people have an opinion

Yeah I’ve been feeling this for awhile now. It’s just so nice turning on a console and just hitting play. I think having to do work on my PC and just so much other stuff makes PC feel a little bit less special. Can’t shake the comfy feeling of just sitting on a couch while relaxing on a console. I remember all the days of sitting in front of my TV playing on my gamecube before nabbing a wireless controller. I miss those days.

Yeah, I could see why consoles could be better to play on. It gives a more "homey" vibe. Also, some games are just better on controller. Sure, you could hook up a controller to a pc, but in my experience, something always goes wrong (disconnects randomly, bluetooth error, software does not recognize controller). However, I really like the customizability the PC provides in terms of modding and changing games.

Love it, my brother and I RIP the PCMR all the time. Every time we cross play on games with PC friend they always have 900 problems and cant play for a multitude of reasons. It's always a new issue every day.

i like the physical design, unique UI, and history of consoles/controllers. how games are defined by which console generation they were a part of. the way even just the startup sounds of each console can evoke nostalgia. they’re rooted in a time and place that you’ll eventually look back on, and that’s something special.

There’s 2 types of PC gamers.
The type that just wanted a little bit more out of their device, so they bought a PC.
And then there’s those who only bought a PC because it’s looked at as a status symbol in the highschool lunchroom. This is where the PCMR people fall into.

Good to know this kind of people still exist. I'm mainly on PC and Switch, but if you prefer PlayStation or Xbox, that's just like, your opinion, man and I have mine, no reason to argue over some kind of weird superiority complex because I'm on PC. Also yeah, I did build it myself about three years ago but that was the first time I've done something like that and I'm eternally grateful it didn't end up like Caddy's story, I can definitely understand why people would go the prebuilt route (because apparently even within the PC realm they need to discriminate against that too and it's just as stupid)

btw my main reason for using PC isn't even the graphics or FPS (that's just a nice bonus), but modding, some games like Skyrim, Minecraft or Kerbal Space Program are so much more interesting for me with mods

I happen to like games that really only work on PC, like Stellaris (Which is on consoles, but unmoddable and a bit tougher to play)
I wish PC had physical libraries, but it seems even consoles are starting to phase it out with mandatory day 1 updates.

I think the Steam Deck is a good median between the two, PC perks, console feel and portability.

Playing on console feels more enjoyable and relaxing and immersive rather than playing on pc being honest, and some games like the LBP series are nostalgic.

I am a pc gamer and I'm not sure if I will ever buy another console but that's just me. I can completely understand why people prefer console gaming and there is a reason they're still around and they're so popular.

As a PC boy I enjoy consoles as well when I have the chance to buy one. Not worrying too much about crashes or weird compatibility issues, playing technician every time I want to play somethng.

But i'm more fond of the the pre-PS4 consoles, which were more interesting compared to this generations of consoles and the last tone.

Everything feels too samey now and there's not much of a gap between consoles and PC nowdays compared to the PS3/X360/Wii days.

They are trying to justify their purchase of a $3000 rainbow light box. I would know I own one

When I emulate a game (like breath of the wild) I usually don’t stick with it and stop playing it. But if I play the same game on the dedicated console, I enjoy it so much more and I can’t explain why.
