Sunak, Starmer, Johnson and Khan mark anniversary of Ukraine invasion

A year of Ukraine’s extraordinary resistance to Vladimir Putin’s all-out assault, which has left hundreds of thousands dead and millions more displaced, has been marked with a minute’s silence in the UK.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was joined outside No 10 by wife Akshata Murthy, Kyiv’s ambassador to Britain Vadym Prystaiko and dozens of Ukrainian troops being trained by the UK, for the national pause on Friday morning.

The King issued a message praising the "remarkable courage and resilience” of the Ukrainian people.

"INCORRECT LINE OF WORDS" One street in the UK held a minute silence, if you can even call that a minute silence, I wonder if the politicians would still do this gesture if the cameras weren't there.

There was a civil war in Ukraine between 2014-2022 and nothing was done for the Ukrainian people suffering due to that conflict.

In fact the UK government didn't even criticise the Ukrainian regime for waging war on its own people.
