For Hard Mode, the key is to move as much as possible without getting in the water.  Jump from platform to platform.  If you move fast and precisely, you can get all the way through to the final gap before you have to swim.  At that point, you can swim down, to the pipe, and back up before running out of air.  If you start swimming at any prior point, you won't make it.

Finally getting to play this game, especially now the new one is coming out and it was free. The underwater bit was driving me crazy thanks for posting after I watched did it on first try!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRESS R1 AND IT GIVES RACHET A BOOST YOU USE THE HELICOPTER AND JUST KEEP TAPIING IT IN ALL THE MOST YOU CAN

You gotta use that long jump with R1 it saves steps

On hard mode just use r1 when possible. You don't need precise platforming

I have a question about the holocards - I have to gather 9 of them to get the weapon but in order to get several of them, I have to visit the other planets - ones I can go to only after I have already visited Rilgar. But I can't go to those next planets before getting the weapon - and to get the weapon, I have to get the holocards I can find only on those other planets :( I can't get out of Rilgar before getting the weapon. So what should I do, how can I get the holocards? Any help? :) Any piece of advice from anyone? :)
