have two big dogs, live in the mountains of colorado, and have heavy furniture on the deck because of the high winds. Seems to me that pushes me to the trex transend? am i wrong?

I received samples of the pvc type from Timbertech yesterday. My dog started sniffing and then scratched at it. Easily put a scratch in it. It's not too noticeable, I suppose, but I could notice it. Is this normal? Would the upper Trex do that?

So in rainy Florida by a pool PVC is the best option? Also do either of these brands have wood in them at all or is it 100% composite
