If you wondered why the plane bomb doesn’t usually work is because of the hitboxes, some bosses are in the background and can’t damage you if you touch them but others can.

For Esther’s Cactus thing:
you can avoid the cactus by double jumping, doing crackshot EX, parry it, then double jump again (the jump cooldown resets when you parry it.)

Can you beat Cuphead without using the plane at all? Not currently because of the coral on Cala Maria's stage.
