What type of repairs and maintenance would be needed once a boat is raised to get it sea-worthy again?

How do you weight yourself when you're diving with a backplate? I'm thinking about buying one but I use a decent amount with my undergarments.
Thanks in advance

Did I miss how it sank in the first place? That doesn’t always get reported in these videos. Or was it simply filled with rainwater?

What is your buddy diving with on his face? Is that a neoprene face protector? I'm asking because I just bought one for summer protection against jellyfish and winter protection against elements, but I don't see them often in the wild (the face protectors that is)
Is there a good reason to use one in this scenario?

How do you salvage an upside down powerboat from the riverbank without a boat to pull into water?

1st thought is wow I feel bad for all the fish the water looks like California air with all the fires currently raging. You mentioned the boat could be repaired & back in the water in a week? I am amazed at this I would think much longer because I am assuming all the wiring has to be replaced. Really enjoyed the video well done.

How much does a recovery like this generally run? Does boat insurance cover these mishaps? Thanks for the information, I had always wondered about your crew sizes.

You sounded so confident in that wrap up, saying that after some TLC in the shop she'd run again. Mmmm perhaps but not without a metric f**k ton of work and new components. You did a great job salvaging this boat and it looked fantastic when it was refloated, extremely professional operation. But an inboard V-drive like that would almost certainly have all, I mean every single electronics component, destroyed from the moment it kissed a few drops of water. I don't remember what's on this generation of Centurions but if it's a Mercruiser or Indmar or PCM conversion in that v-drive they do not like being splashed let alone submerged. Electronic ignition, solenoids monitoring about 10-15 different systems, not to mention every gauge in the cluster, the emergency shutoff, any lighting inside gauges and other places. Muck inside the manifolds or even the cylinders themselves. Even a 10-15yr old wakeboard boat is loaded up with electronics nonsense (in addition to bilge pumps and blowers crucial to running the thing). It would still be worth something as a nice hull and everything - but would need to be completely re-powered and build almost from the ground up. Do you know what happened to this after the salvage effort at the lake?

good thing is lifing via air is common sense to me. no coarse needed to raise a sunken boat.
