The most amazing thing is how capable the 7970 still is. I used mine until recently, so for almost a decade.

The actual heft some of these cards have. Imagine the muscles you'd have lunking an old CRT and something like a 7900XT or a 4090 in an itx case to a LAN party...

Considering the HD 7970 came out while the PS4 wasn't even launched and it's still viable is insane value for money, bet the GTX 680 hasn't aged as well.

I had a HD 7750 with only 1 GB vram that was a lot weaker than 7970, but still I used to play with it until 5 years ago and with that played also Skyrim fully modded. AMD had pretty good cards back then maybe better than Nvidia.

Imagine buying an HD 7970 back in the day, and just never upgrading because your GPU is beyond rock solid for over 11 years.

Lol funny how people complain about gpu pricing. Back in the day a base 7970 was 550$. Today 550$ gets you so much more performance but people are still going to cry.
