The oil temperature does not need to reach 175 degrees when CHANGING the oil. It needs to be 175 degrees when CHECKING the oil level. According to the owners manual, "run the engine at idle for about 20 seconds to return all of the oil back into the dry sump oil tank." Then you can drain the oil.

Good video. A couple suggestions: many oil changers recommend opening the Engine Oil filler cap to aid in draining. Also, the oil drain plug has 2 O-rings, with one that could be stuck up top or fall into your drain pan while draining so ensure you install drain plug post-drain with these 2 O-rings:) Maybe buy a spare set of those 2 rings in case one is damaged during your change preventing loss of vehicle until replaced. Same for oil filter, sometimes the O-ring sticks to top plate and if you don't see this you will have the old one stuck conflicting with the new filter O-ring & you will make a mess and lose your oil & possible engine.

Never check your oil with engine running, that’s insane! The oil has to settle to be accurately measured.
