So one of the treatments which is given for menopause is called as hormone replacement therapy. So menopause is a time when women start noticing decline in their female hormones which causes a lot of changes in the body including the skin getting dry and the skin losing its luster and starts looking dull. So hormone replacement therapy helps to again get back the glow in the skin. The skin starts looking shiny, the acne reduce, the unwanted facial hair which might be cropping up during menopause will reduce. So hormone replacement therapy will help the skin look younger and more youthful. However it has its own side effects and it should not be continued for a long time. Long term hormone replacement therapy is also known to be linked to some types of cancers. Discuss with your doctor whether you require hormonal replacement therapy before initiating it.

Which studies are you referring to when you say that should not be taken long-term?
The one in 1992 that made everybody afraid of hormonal replacement therapy?
Many lives were lost because of that, because the hormones protect the heart, the bones and the risk of cancer is very very low, I believe last, and 2%. It’s compared to been obese causing cancer.
They said those women were healthy, but seems like 70% of them smoked and had other problems and we’re older and NOT healthy. It also was done with pregnant horse urine, which I heard from a doctor that it’s not a good choice and it’s not ethical.
It may be helpful to read the 2022 North American menopause society statement and probably newer ones.
There are some contraindications, but if you look for a doctor that it’s up-to-date they’re gonna say that they are way less contraindications that the other non informed doctors say there are…
